I love Genesis!

As I was studying the first few chapters of Genesis, I came up with some questions. Please share your thoughts on them if you desire!

1. When did Satan fall like lightning from heaven?

I propose between Genesis 1:1 and 1:2. Why else would the earth be without form, void, and covered with darkness? That does not sound good.

2. Man was put in the garden of Eden. What was in the rest of the earth?

3. What exactly did Adam and Eve need to subdue and take dominion over? Satan was king of the earth at this point and I'm sure he had already messed stuff up.

4. This is not a question, but a comment. Man is just dust. Women are ribs.

5. Who was Cain afraid would kill him? His family...or someone else?? (Gen. 4:14)

6.There are two lands/regions mentioned here, Nod and Eden. In Gen. 4:16 it says "Then Cain went out from the presence of the LORD and dwelt in the land of Nod on the east of Eden." So man was in the garden, then they sinned and were cast out of the garden into Eden, but they still were in communication with the Lord. Then Cain kills Able and he goes to the land of Nod, out of the presence of the Lord. So what or who lived in Nod? How was this land different from Eden?

7. Where did Cain get his wife? From his family, or from the "outside"? (Gen. 4:17)

8. Who were these sons of Gods? Who were the giants? (Gen. 6:4)

There are my eight questions for the day. Actually, 7 questions and 1 comment.

Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out! “ For who has known the mind of the LORD? Or who has become His counselor?” Romans 11:33-34

I read Genesis this morning, and I wrote down some ?'s for you.

1.)If you could point it out on a map, where was Eden located?

2.) Could it still be around guarded by an angel, or if not, is the area where it was impossible to get to?

3.)Did Adam have a scar on his side?

4.)What was Adam and Eve's relationship like? Were they close? Were they romantic? Was Adam the perfect man?

5.)Could all the animals talk?

6.)What was God's tone when He told the snake and man their punishments?

I usually tend to think Eden is North of the gulf where the tigris and Euphrates meet but I have not extensively studied that out. As for question 2, that is a very good question. The bible never says that Eden was destroyed, man was simply sent out of it. Therefore, Eden should still be in existence and I suppose it is now in the spiritual realm, or in the middle of the earth, or at the bottom of the sea or something. I will answer more questions another time!
